We
recently were contacted by Dave Dixon, a Mike Albert fan from Oregon who saw
Mike back in 1985 at a concert at
The Stone in San Francisco.
Mike,
WOW! Finally finding out just who you are after all these years is just
blowing my mind. I saw you perform with Megadeth at The Stone in SF,
California
back in '84/'85 some time. I was 15 yrs old. I was right up front on your
side of the stage. We where actually there to see Exciter. I'd never heard
Megadeth until that night. You guys where absolutely fucking amazing. I am
36 years old now, and I can remember it like it last month. When I got the
KIMB album and there was a picture of Chirs
Poland
in there, I was going..."who the hell was that I saw playing
w/MD?!!" I am a BC Rich player myself, and I still remember the black
warlock, reverse headstock, the camo hat, the whole thing.
All these years, I hear a KIMB tune and I wonder who the hell that was.
I get a DVD of the VH1 Behind the Music on MD and Dave Jr. mentions in there
that Chris Poland was really flakey during that period and that a "Mike
Albert" was the dude on tour. So...I typed your name in myspace and
boom. There's pics of you w/ the BCR Warlock, camo hat - just like it popped
out of my fuckin memory.
Do you have any of those pics you could sign and mail me for my scrap book?
I would be happy to pay the cost of pics, postage, etc....
BTW...Your M.A.P stuff sounds awesome! I'm going to check that out more on
my day off. Thanks for the great music memories. That Megadeth show changed
my life! Yeah, really. It was that awesome.
Rock on!!
